Just 45 mins away from Jerez airport, and half an hour away the city of Cadiz, the historic town of Chiclana de la frontera is a great starting point to explore the Atlantic coast of the Costa de la luz, with its numerous blue flag beaches. A haven for watersports enthusiasts, the Costa de la luz is another resort popular with Spanish nationals, and only recently coming to the attention of international visitors.

Just inland, the town of Chiclana overlooks an area of outstanding natural beauty. The nearby nature reserves are home to a variety of wildlife, and are popular with walkers. A town steeped in Spanish history, there are a number of churches, museums and monuments to visit within the town, which is famous for producing traditional Marin dolls.

Along the coast, the beach resorts are very un-commercial but no less busy during the summer months, and hiring a car is a must to enjoy this rich and varied landscape.
