Car Hire Malaga Terms & Conditions

NOTE: The following terms and conditions just apply for bookings with pick-up and drop off at Malaga airport and Malaga Renfe (Maria Zambrano Train Station). For other destinations, you must read the particular conditions of the chosen car (clicking on the "Rate Details" link).

THE RENTAL PRICE INCLUDES:

Bookings cancellations and/or modifications at no charge.
Airport service
24 hours road side assistance
IVA (tax)
Unlimited mileage
Fully comprehensive insurance with no excess (except for groups “P”). Theft is covered always and only when the keys of the car are returned and the theft has been reported to the closest police station. To avoid the car being stolen with its keys make sure you keep an eye on the keys at all time.
Direct hire. Not a broker.

THE RENTAL PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE:

Fuel. The vehicle will be delivered with half a tank of fuel which you will be charged for (between 30 € to 65 € depending on the car size/model). The vehicle will be returned as empty as possible. Should the rental period be less or equal to 3 days you have the option of returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel.

Additional drivers:The cost per additional driver shall be 3 € per day per driver with a maximum of 42 € per rental per driver.

Baby and booster seats: The cost to rent a baby seat shall be 3 € per day per seat with a maximum of 42 € per rental per seat. The cost to rent a booster seat shall be 2 € per day per booster seat with a maximum of 14 € per rental per booster seat.

GPS. The cost for the rental of a GPS navigation system shall be 5 € per day with a maximum of 100 € per rental. There will be required a deposit of 100€.

Collection of vehicles between 23:00 y 08:00. The collection of vehicles between the mentioned hours has a surcharge of 25 €.

Damages to tyres, rims, hubcaps, side mirrors, windows, locks and the bottom of the vehicle. An additional insurance is available for the above mentioned damages. Insurance is available to cover the aforementioned damages at:

Groups A, B, C, C1, D and D2. 4 € per day with a minimum of 16 € and a maximum of 56 € per rental.
Groups E, E0, E2, E3, BA, CA and DA. 7 € per day with a minimum of 28 € and a maximum of 98 € per rental.
Groups D3, F, DB, FA, GA, IA, JA, G, G1, G9, CC, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6 and M7. 10 € per day with a minimum of 40 € and a maximum of 140 € per rental.
Groups “P” in general. Vehicles that are in any “P” group have an all risk insurance with a 2000 € excess. The additional insurance to cover the above mentioned damages and the excess is 20 € per day with a minimum of 80 € and a maximum of 560 €.

In the case of not taking out the insurance offered in the previous point, at the time of picking up the vehicle, Aurigacrown.com reserves the right to charge the same amount as the rental as a deposit which will be returned to the client at the end of the contract if the vehicle is returned in the same conditions. For “P” groups in general, a deposit of up to 2000 € is mandatory.

Damages to the interior of the car, clutch, loss of keys, filling up with the wrong fuel type:

If the vehicle receives a fine during the rental period the lessee or main driver is held responsible. Said fines carry a cost of 25 €.

When the return of the vehicle is 2 hours after the contracted end time of the rental, an extra day will be charged at the current rate.

PAYMENT

Payment is completed upon collection of your vehicle with VISA or MasterCard credit card. We also accept payments with AMEX with a surcharge of 5% on the total rental Price. Payment by debit card or in cash is accepted when the additional insurance has been taken out (that right is reserved by the company). The credit card holder must be the lessee (main driver).

DRIVERS AGE

Groups A, B, C, C1, D and D2. 21 years of age and must have been in possession of a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year. Should the driver be younger than 25 years of age or have been in possession of his driving license between 1 and 4 years a surcharge of 3 € per day is applicable with a minimum of 12 € and a maximum of 42 €. There is no upper age limit applicable.

Groups E, E0, E2, E3, BA, CA and DA. 23 years of age and having been in possession of a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year. Should the driver be younger than 25 years of age or have been in possession of his driving license between 1 and 4 years a surcharge of 3 € per day is applicable with a minimum of 12 € and a maximum of 42 €. There is no upper age limit applicable.

Groups D3, F, DB, FA, GA, IA, JA, G, G1, G9, CC, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6 and M7. 25 years of age and having been in possession of a valid driving license for at least 2 years. There is no upper age limit applicable.

Groups “P” in general. 27 years of age and having been in possession of a valid driving license for at least 5 years. There is no upper age limit applicable.

Upon collection of the vehicle you must at all times present your Passport / Identity card, driving license and a credit/debit card.

We do not guarantee car make, model, colour or engine type when booking as we work with car groups.

Our vehicles may not leave the peninsula.

The company reserves the right to deny the rental of a vehicle to individuals when in doubt of the financial capacity and/or due to a history of outstanding invoices or incidents by the client.
